I have enjoyed several of Cindy Woodsmall's books so when I saw this book about Cindy and Miriam Flaud, an Amish friend, I was eager to read it.

I loved the way the two woman took a topic and gave their perspective from their very different backgrounds. In the end the lessons learned were the same just coming from a different direction!

This book is very easy to read as it's broken into short chapters. I loved that some recipes were included that I want to try very soon!

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to learn from someone's real life experiences and about the Amish way of life! I was given an advance copy of this book by Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing for review.

The Bridge of Peace

The Bridge of Peace by Cindy Woodsmall is another book I really enjoyed.  Cindy is a relatively new author for me, but she keeps me coming back with her great story lines and wonderful characters.

I read this book very quickly because I couldn't put it down and couldn't wait to see what would happen next.  I loved the lesson taught that we are all flawed and need have some kind of handicap.  I would recommend this book for anyone from the youngest reader to those of us who have loved reading for years.

This book was provided for review by WaterBrook Multnomah.

The Miracle of Mercy Land

I was given this book to review as a part of a blogging program with waterbrookmultnomah.com.

I did not like this book. I'm used to picking up a book and not putting it down until it's finished and it's taken me a month to finish this book. I am not a fan of fantasy type writing so I never got into the unbelievable mysterious book that could change the path of someone's life.

The underlying story of a lost love was good and I wish there hadn't been the fantasy part included. I would read this author again because I enjoyed her writing, but the theme was not my cup of tea for this book.
